Shimiben (pronounced "Shimi-Ben") International Inc. is a family owned business for over 32 years. We pride ourselves in individual and communal satisfaction.

Formed on September 9, 1988, throughout the years, Shimiben International Inc. has been involved in various types of construction work. From new commercial construction projects to custom homes, and all forms of remodeling endeavors. 

Shimiben International Inc. specializes in Finish Carpentry and General Construction for both commercial and residential business. 

Shimiben International Inc. is fully licensed, bonded, and insured in the state of California. Our Contractors State License classification is B for general construction.

​Benny Lee formed Shimiben in honor of his first customer and dear friend Shimizu Kogyo. Therefore combining their names to create "Shimi-Ben"
Shimiben soon developed into a family business and eventually Benny's sons, James Li and Henry Li ,took lead in making Shimiben International Inc. successful to what it is today.

Meet Our Team

James Li
​OWNER

The president of Shimiben, James overlooks the whole company to continue to grow.
James holds an engineering degree from UCLA.  He uses his knowledge in construction to create the best construction company.
James personally does the estimation so they are accurate with current market prices. He can also help recommend the right material to fit customers satisfaction and budget.

Jonathan Li
​PROJECT MANAGER

Jonathan is the son of James Li. He holds a degree in communication from CSUN. Jonathan is the head of operations and is Shimiben's project manager. Jonathan has years in experience as a superintendent for our General Construction division.
He has dealt with many city building officials, architects and engineers, as he works efficiently to meet customer deadlines. 

Andrew Li
​OFFICE MANAGER

Andrew is the son of James Li. He holds a degree in Radio/Television/Film communications from CSUN.

​Andrew is the office manager and project administrator. He has experience in prevailing wage and bank funded projects.
